Fenix CP50R rechargeable lantern, 5500 lm, black
The Fenix CP50R lantern with an impressive luminous flux of 5500 lumens and a range of 450 meters is an exceptional lamp not only for car camping. Thanks to the unique system of two reflectors, you can precisely illuminate the distance and at the same time comfortably illuminate a wide area - all at once or each separately. In addition, additional lights are built into this lamp for warning and safety functions: a red triangular light, a yellow flashing light, and a green steady light. The dual rotary switch design allows for smooth control of brightness and light temperature, providing the perfect lighting for any situation. Its 360-degree rotating magnetic handle allows for easy carrying, hanging, or attaching to iron surfaces. With dual 21700 rechargeable batteries that offer up to 10 days of operation on a single charge, IP66 protection, and high impact resistance, the CP50R is the perfect combination of functionality and durability for any adventure.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Using Fenix CP50R
There may be an insulating cap on the batteries inside the lantern from the factory; remove it before first use.
On/Off and Power Change - To turn on the white light, turn the large rotary control clockwise. By turning it, you can continuously regulate the white light output from the lowest to the highest. To reduce power, turn the knob counterclockwise. To turn off, turn the knob counterclockwise to the extreme position. If the lantern is off, hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the warning modes. The warning modes can then be switched by pressing the electronic switch. The lantern is then turned off again by holding down the electronic switch.
Switching white light lighting modes - When the lantern is turned on for white light, pressing the electronic switch cycles through the lighting modes wide spotlight → long spotlight → combined wide and long spotlight mode.
Changing the light shade of the wide spotlight - When the lantern is turned on in wide mode or combination mode, the shade of the white light of the wide spotlight can be continuously changed by turning the smaller rotary control from warm to cool.
Memory for the last set mode - When switched to white light, the lantern remembers the last used white light mode (wide, long, combined). When switched to alarm modes, the lantern remembers the last set alarm output. The lantern remembers the last set light color temperature with a wide reflector unless the small controller was moved when it was turned off.
Replacing Batteries - Pull up the ring on the bottom of the lantern and unscrew it counterclockwise to open the battery cover. Insert the batteries with the negative (-) terminal facing inward, then screw the battery cover back on.
Charging - Flip up the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the lantern port. After charging is complete, replace the dust cap. During charging, the indicators flash from left to right to show the charging progress. When charging is complete, all four indicators will be solid. The lantern can be used while charging, but the maximum output is limited to 500 lumens. Typical charging time is approximately 3 hours when using a USB source supporting 18W.
Power bank function - Flip up the dust cover and plug the USB-C or USB-A charging cable into the appropriate port on the lantern and connect the other end of the cable to the device you want to charge. After discharging is complete, replace the dust cap. During discharge, the indicator lights flash from right to left to show the discharge status. When the battery voltage drops below 3 V, the power bank function will automatically turn off. The lantern can be used during discharge. USB-C connector supports protocols: PD3.0/PD2.0/QC3.0/QC2.0, USB-A connector supports: QC3.0/QC2.0. The maximum discharge power is up to 18 W (5 V / 3 A, 9 V / 2 A, 12 V / 1.5 A). The USB-A and USB-C ports can be used for charging at the same time. The USB-A port cannot discharge while the lantern is charging via the USB-C port.
Battery charge status indication - After turning on the lantern, or after briefly pressing the switch when the lantern is off, the indicator lights will light up for three seconds. If four lights are on, the batteries are more than 80% charged. Three lights indicate 60-80% capacity, two lights indicate 40-60%, one light indicates 20-40%, and one flashing light indicates 1-20%.
Intelligent overheating protection - If the lantern temperature exceeds 54°C, the power will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 54°C, the power will gradually increase again.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the lantern will reduce the brightness to a lower level. When the lowest power is reached, one of the battery status indicators will start flashing to remind you to recharge or replace the batteries.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- We recommend using high-quality Li-ion batteries with Fenix 21700 protective electronics (ARB-L21 series).
- Never mix different types and capacities of batteries in a lantern. Remove the batteries from the lantern if you will not be using it for an extended period of time. If the light is flashing, not switching to higher power modes, or not turning on, it could be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost empty - charge them.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
