ORTOVOX Switchback 30 S backpack

A technically sophisticated backpack with numerous alpine features that you will appreciate on demanding ski touring trips. Suitable for maximum performance on rock, ice, and snow. You will especially appreciate the easy and quick access to all necessary equipment on the backpack.



Avalanche equipment and an ice axe can be quickly removed in an emergency from a separate safety compartment, while all items in the main compartment are accessible through the fully opening back. Thanks to a special side pocket, you have crampons and skins always at hand without having to take off the backpack. You can also easily pack your rope and skis with the backpack on your back. Attachments for two ice axes, daisy chain, rope attachment, and a helmet net complete the versatile equipment attachment options.



The ORTOVOX SWITCHBACK 30 S backpack has its place for everything. This is not only practical but also looks good. You can easily attach everything using variable integrated straps, buckles, loops, and the helmet net. At the same time, the backpack maintains a compact and clean look.

The ergonomic FULL CONTACT LIGHT back system optimally distributes the load on the back even under heavy loads
If the backpack is not too full, the volume can be effectively reduced using 3-point A-skifix compression straps
You can tighten the waist belt and centre it exactly using the reverse buckles
The hip belt has a loop for attaching climbing gear or an ice axe and a small pocket for what you need most at hand
All additional straps, loops and the helmet net are hidden in small pockets so that they do not get in the way or get caught on branches or rocks
The backpack features waterproof YKK ® zippers that help keep your belongings dry
Separate shovel and probe compartment. Equipment does not interfere or get your belongings wet, and is immediately at hand when needed.
Top pocket for gloves, hat, glasses and other accessories that you repeatedly pull out and want to have at hand
Bottom pocket for straps or crampons - with an entry on the side of the backpack, you can access it without having to take the backpack off your back
Hip pocket suitable for phone, compact camera, GPS or other active items you want to have at hand for "flash use"
Pocket on the shoulder strap suitable for a 250 ml soft water bottle
Flat pocket suitable for a map, compass, hiking diary and other small items

It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims.
