You're looking at a thoroughbred all-rounder among cross-country shoes. Amphibious, which can cope with the pitfalls of the trail just as well as with longer sections on asphalt. This is primarily due to the elaborate sole with a shallow pattern combining three different compounds of hard rubber for an optimal combination of grip and durability. In addition to the universal grip, the TRAIL TALON 290 offers comfortable damping, which ranks it among the most comfortable models from the INOV-8 offer. Thanks to this, these are the best-selling cross-country shoes for a long time.
Due to the higher damping rate, the TRAIL TALON 290 is a great choice for mountain marathons and ultra trails. But you will also appreciate the comfort of the cushioning layer and the universal features during regular running in a suburban environment, where the road often alternates with an easier trail. The drop of the midsole is 8 millimeters and, together with the damping used, it forms a mixture that will suit all runners who prefer comfort over surface responsiveness.
The upper is stretched on a wide hoof, and especially in the front part, the TRAIL TALON 290 provides enough space for the natural work of the toes and the transverse arch. Of course, there is a proven rubber cage stabilizing the instep and the foot inside the shoe. A new feature compared to the previous 290tk is a new rubber toe protector and a redesigned upper material.
