Ortovox 230 Competition Women's Bottoms

Very warm functional underwear made from the highest quality Tasmanian Merino wool has already won many world awards. This line of underwear is designed for demanding physical performance in cold weather. Perfect comfort is provided by the combination of "body mapping" knitting technology and circular knitting, thanks to which the individual zones of the bottoms have different thicknesses. This ensures the desired microclimate on individual parts of the body, and the bottoms have no unnecessary seams that reduce comfort.

Highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania for all its underwear. Merino wool is a material that degrades negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. The length of all used fibers is at least 6 cm, which is not standard in the production of woolen underwear. The longer the fibers, the stronger the yarns that can be obtained. This prevents the formation of holes due to material wear. The quality of fibers is determined primarily by their length, fineness, and uniform diameter of individual fibers.



80% Merino wool with a fineness of 16.5 microns guarantees first-class quality and perfect functional properties that we need so much in sports – quick drying, odor elimination, good thermal insulation properties even when wet.



ORTOVOX also has demanding criteria for sheep farming itself, which significantly affects the quality of their wool. To meet these, ORTOVOX buys wool only from a few selected farms that are subject to regular inspection. ORTOVOX checks 64 different quality criteria that each farm must meet. Thanks to this, the wool used in ORTOVOX underwear is only of the highest quality.



Advantages of Merino wool: very comfortable, neutralizes odor (has an antibacterial effect), has a wide thermoregulatory range, absorbs moisture into its internal structure and remains dry on the surface, easy to care for, pleasant to the touch, has a long lifespan.

Uncompromising two-year warranty

ORTOVOX products are manufactured to the highest quality, which is why resolving any complaint is really simple. If you discover a manufacturing defect, whether it's a fraying seam or external pilling, just send the item back and ORTOVOX will take care of its repair, replacement, or refund. For out-of-warranty repairs, ORTOVOX has its own service center where it can repair anything.

Tasmanian Island

Tasmania is an island south of Australia, only 2,500 km from Antarctica. The climate is cold with abundant rainfall and nutritious pasture for sheep. The island is strictly protected against sheep diseases. Thanks to this, Tasmania is the most suitable location on earth for breeding Merino sheep, and for over 150 years, the highest quality wool in the world has been produced here.

"Body mapping" - in places where the body heats up more, the knit is thinner (with a surface weight of 190 g/m2) and in places where the body needs to warm up more, the knit is thicker (with a surface weight of 240 g/m2). These zones allow maximum breathability in places where it is needed most.

Fine flat seams can only be found on the inside of the tights. The rest of the Base layer is knitted using seamless technology.
