Storm Care Down Proofer impregnation
Wet down is worse than no down. When down gets wet, it loses its loft, warmth, and breathability. Storm Down Proofer restores the water repellency of down-filled garments while leaving a patented abrasion-resistant finish without damaging the delicate down.Down is a natural and lightweight super-insulator. Keep your gear in top condition – clean, odour-free, lofty, and water-repellent. Regular care for down clothing and equipment is key to long-term performance.
Instructions for use:
- Place one garment in the washing machine. Do not overfill the drum – technical garments need to move freely for effective mechanical and chemical cleaning
- Pour 75 ml of Storm Proofer into the fabric conditioner compartment. If washing on the 'Storm One Wash Cycle', add 75 ml of Storm Down Wash to the detergent compartment
- Set the washing machine to 30°C, a low-spin synthetic cycle, or a technical/sports clothing cycle (if available).
- Dry according to the care label instructions. Allow to drip dry for at least 20 minutes before tumble drying
- Tumble dry on a low heat setting according to the care label. Periodically remove the garment and shake out the baffles to ensure the down is evenly distributed
- Tip: add Storm Down Balls for maximum loft retention
