Ortovox Tour Women's Compression Socks

Do you want to avoid fatigue during ascents? Then the TOUR COMPRESSION socks could become your favorite socks for long and demanding ascents. Thoughtful compression supports muscles and protects them from fatigue. The socks have special zones, an ergonomic shape and are made from a combination of Merino wool, polyamide and silk. They are designed for a pleasant experience during ski touring, high-altitude hiking, trail running and other aerobic activities that require oxygenation of the muscles.

Gradual Compression

The TOUR COMPRESSION sports socks feature gradual compression. The compression is stronger at the ankle and decreases upwards. This ensures faster expulsion of deoxygenated blood full of lactate back to the heart, and fresh oxygenated blood is better supplied to the legs. As a result, legs get tired later and have more energy.

  • Compression is according to European standard CEN, class 1 – mild pressure (15-21 mmHg).
  • Compression ensures better oxygenation of the legs, nutrient supply, and thus improves performance.

Comfort thanks to Merino Wool

Thanks to the natural properties of Merino wool, the socks excel at wicking away moisture, have good thermoregulatory properties, neutralize odors, and are very comfortable. This makes them a great companion for long and demanding ski touring trips as well as high-altitude alpine crossings.

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.
