Petzl WILLIAM SCREW LOCK carabiner, grey
The lightweight, asymmetrical WILLIAM carabiner is made of aluminum. It is a large, pear-shaped HMS carabiner that is suitable for easily connecting multiple devices. Its smooth interior design and Keylock locking system make it easier to handle. The WILLIAM carabiner is available in three locking versions. WILLIAM can be used with the CAPTIV divider to keep the carabiner in the correct position, loaded on its major axis, which is suitable for use with a descender.
The pear shape offers a large capacity:
- Makes it easier to connect multiple items
- Allows for easy tying of a half-clove hitch for an improvised rappel
- The aluminum carabiner is lightweight and reduces the weight of the equipment that a worker at height needs to carry
Easier handling:
- Smooth interior design limits the risk of snag points and makes it easier to rotate the carabiner
- Keylock locking system to prevent accidental snagging of the carabiner
H-shaped cross-section:
- Ensures a better strength-to-weight ratio
- Protects markings from abrasion
Three locking systems:
- TRIACT-LOCK: three-action automatic locking
- BALL-LOCK: three-action automatic locking with locking indicator
- SCREW-LOCK: screw-locking with a red band that allows visual confirmation of the carabiner's locked status
- Also available in black (TRIACT-LOCK and SCREW-LOCK versions)
