Petzl RIG REPAIRABLE descender
The Petzl RIG REPAIRABLE is a compact self-locking rappel brake designed for experienced rope access and technical rescue workers. The ergonomic handle allows precise control of rappelling speed and makes working while suspended on the rope for long periods more comfortable. Thanks to the AUTO-LOCK system, the user can quickly and easily secure themselves in the working position without having to manipulate the handle or tie a safety knot.
Intuitive pictograms and guidance surfaces make it easy to install the rope correctly. The movable sidewall can be opened even when the device is attached to the harness, making it easier to pass through progressive anchor points. The brake offers two rope routing options for optimal friction control and can be used directly on the harness or at the anchor point. After locking the rope, it is possible to make short ascents without manipulating the handle and the device can also be used to belay the first climber using climbing techniques.
RIG REPAIRABLE is designed for intensive use in difficult conditions. Reinforced protection in the rope friction zone protects the sidewall from premature wear, and the cam shape improves rope grip and overall device life. In the event of wear, the cam and pin can be replaced using a separately sold repair kit, significantly extending the life of the brake.
