The Petzl RIG REPAIRABLE is a compact, repairable rappel brake designed for experienced rope access and technical rescue workers. The ergonomic handle provides precise control of the descent speed and makes it easier to work in suspension. The integrated AUTO-LOCK function allows quick and easy locking in the working position without the need for additional locking.
Guiding surfaces and pictograms on the brake body speed up correct cable installation. The movable sidewall can be opened even when the device is attached to the harness, making it easier to pass through progressive anchor points. The brake offers two rope routing options for optimal friction control and can be used directly on the harness or at the anchor point. After locking the rope, it is possible to make short ascents without manipulating the handle and the device can also be used to belay the first climber using climbing techniques.
RIG REPAIRABLE is designed for long-term and intensive use. The friction zones are reinforced with a durable insert, the cam shape improves rope grip and reduces wear. In the event of wear, the cam and pin can be replaced using a separately sold repair kit, significantly extending the life of the device.
