StillMass L-Citrulline Base

Suitable for increasing physical performance. Chemically, citrulline is 2-amino-5-ureidopentanoic acid. It is part of the urea cycle. L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid required for protein synthesis.

This substance increases energy and stimulates the immune system. It also helps to remove waste ammonia from the body. Among its other effects are the following: it improves healing, relieves fatigue, improves tissue blood flow and the transfer of energy to the muscle. It increases the resistance of the muscle against lactic acid. Together with arginine, it is part of many preparations that help improve the quality of sexual life. Citrulline is directly absorbed into the blood, creating a reserve for metabolic conversion to L-arginine with the same physiological effects on blood vessels as in the case of L-arginine. L-citrulline is a more suitable and faster source of signal molecules of nitric oxide from the point of view of onset of effect.

It helps to restore the sources of immediate energy (ATP) and thus increases the strength during performance and delays the onset of the feeling of fatigue. In the body, it is transformed into arginine (an NO stimulant) and malate, which is part of the Krebs cycle and helps eliminate lactic acid in the muscles. The Krebs cycle (also known as the citric acid cycle) essentially involves a series of enzymatic reactions that transform proteins (in the form of their components - amino acids), fats (in the form of fatty acids) and carbohydrates (carbohydrates, for example glucose) into intermediate substances. These intermediate products then pass into the respiratory chain, where they undergo another series of reactions - by receiving and transferring electrons, energy is produced in the form of ATP (adenosine tri-phosphate), CO2 and water. The presence of a sufficient amount of oxygen inside the cells is the basis for the success of this holistic procedure, as the term "oxidation" or "oxygenation".
