The Fenix ​​CL22R is a practical portable rechargeable lantern that you can use to illuminate a room, tent, campsite, caravan, cottage, boat or workbench. It offers a circular and bottom lighting function with a range of up to 80 meters. It is controlled by a rotary control with a center button. Both lighting methods can also be combined to achieve a total output of up to 500 lumens. The rotary control allows you to continuously regulate the lantern's output in the range of 5 to 200 lumens.

The lantern is powered by a built-in Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is charged using a modern USB-C connector. The lantern offers a total of twelve lighting modes. In addition to 360° lighting with a temperature of 3000 K, there is also a bottom light with a temperature of 6500 K, which allows the lantern to be used as a handheld flashlight. There is also red light, which does not interfere with the eyes' adaptation to the dark. Another new feature is variable color lighting (also called ambient) that will liven up any garden party.

Downlighting is a very practical function that significantly saves energy. It is especially useful in situations where circular omnidirectional lighting is not necessary or when we need to illuminate a greater distance with a narrower light cone, similar to a handheld flashlight. The lantern is also equipped with a runtime extension function. During prolonged use in high modes, the lantern gradually reduces power to achieve a longer burn time.

Thanks to the durable and impact-resistant construction with IP65 protection, the lamp can be safely used even in adverse weather conditions (rain). The upper side of the lantern is equipped with a hanging eye for hanging. Thanks to its compact dimensions and weight of 135 grams, the lantern is particularly suitable for camping and hiking.

All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Using Fenix ​​CL22R

To turn on the omnidirectional lighting, turn the switch clockwise. Then press the center button to switch the lamp to the lower lighting mode and press it again to the combined mode. Turning it counterclockwise turns the light off. When the light is on, turning the switch clockwise continuously increases the brightness, and turning it counterclockwise continuously decreases the brightness. The lamp has a memory and always turns on in the last set white light mode.

To turn on the red light or variable color lighting, press the center button of the turned-off flashlight for 0.5 seconds. The red light will still turn on. By pressing the button repeatedly, you switch to red flashing -> colors jumping -> colors morphing and by pressing it again, you switch to constant red light. Holding the button for 0.5 seconds turns the light off. The lamp has a memory and always turns on in the last color lighting mode used.

The lantern is equipped with a runtime extension function. During prolonged use in high modes of individual modes, the lantern gradually reduces power to achieve a longer burn time.

Battery charge status indication - every time the flashlight is turned on, the LED battery charge status indicator is activated for 3 seconds. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is more than 80% charged, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing indicates the battery is less than 20% charged.

Charging the Fenix ​​CL22R lantern

To charge the lantern, flip open the rubber cover of the USB-C connector. Connect it to your computer, USB power adapter, or USB car adapter using the included USB cable (adapters not included). A standard mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector or a power bank can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LEDs flash to show the charging progress. They will remain lit after charging.

The battery does not suffer from a memory effect, so it can be recharged at any time and there is no need to wait until it is discharged. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours (depending on the power of the charging source used).

The lantern can be used while charging, but the output is limited to a maximum of 100 lumens.
