Ticket to the Moon HANGING KIT Wall mounting kit
The HANGING KIT allows you to hang the hammock indoors or anywhere you can find concrete, wooden or stone walls.
The package contains:
2 x Stainless steel eye
2 x Screw
2 x Fishers dowel
2 x Pad
What you need to install:
1 x drill
1 x 10 mm masonry drill bit (3/8”)
1x key 1 x 13 mm
If you want to install in a wooden structure, use screws directly without a dowel, etc. description below (that is, if your wooden wall is strong enough and suitable for drilling).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Try to find the right distance between two walls, usually at a distance of 2.7 - 3 m. This distance is ideal for mounting.
2) Check the wall to see if it is strong enough and not just hollow, thin, or just a layer of plywood, etc.
3) Depending on the distance of the walls, choose any height from 1.3 m higher. Make sure the anchors are installed higher if the walls are more than 3m apart - otherwise your hammock will not reach a 30° angle or touch the floor. If the distance between the walls is greater, consider possible ropes.
4) Drill a hole in the concrete or stone wall with a 10 mm drill bit. Check the length/depth of the hole according to the screw included in the kit. Clean the opening with a brush or vacuum.
5) Carefully insert the dowels into the holes
6) Insert the screw with the holder and the washer into the dowel and screw the screw so that it is tight.
7) Attach the ropes or Moon Strap to the hanger and use the hammock as you are used to. Do not attach the aluminum carabiner directly to the stainless steel hanger as damage may occur. Start by gently sitting inside to see if the curtains are installed safely and securely.
For panels, brick or concrete walls, use a 10mm drill bit to drill a hole to a depth of 80mm. Insert the dowel into the hole. Screw the hook into the dowel as far as it will go.
For wood, use a 6 mm drill bit to pre-drill the hole to a depth of 70 mm. Screw the hook into the hole as far as it will go.
For walls (hollow/partition), it is extremely important to center the hook on the joint, which may be covered by paneling or plasterboard. In the hollow space, the hook will not hold and there is a risk of injury in the hammock. Always make sure both ends of the hammock are at the same height.
WARNING: INCORRECT INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN HAZARD OF INJURY. ENSURE THAT ALL WORK IS PERFORMED BY A PERSON QUALIFIED FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK. CHECK THE HOOKS REGULARLY FOR SIGNS OF EXCESSIVE WEAR AND ESPECIALLY STRESS CRACKS AND REPLACE IF NECESSARY. THESE HOOKS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN CEILINGS.
