It provides high protection against UV radiation, which is why it is ideal for alpine tourism. It is the darkest of the reactive glasses, and it is also polarized, which predisposes it to extra bright weather conditions, where snow and ice also dominate. Most models of the Julbo brand, which are manufactured with this type of glass, are equipped with removable sides. The side panels are an important element in the protection of vision against the so-called snow blindness.
