The modern profile of the Jackson helmet highlights the new Passive Aggressive Venting ventilation system, which was inspired by the aerodynamic properties of luxury cars. This hidden but powerful system effectively directs airflow and regulates temperature while driving, climbing a hill, or even while standing still. The overall design is fine-tuned by a hint of the label. Compatibility with all Giro glasses is a matter of course. The safety of the helmet is enhanced by the MIPS system, which offers increased protection of the brain against rotational forces.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and meet the current European standard: EN 1077. The aim of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate the rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the piste. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.

WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner linings. In the event of an impact at an angle, the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
