Fenix HP12R-T rechargeable headlamp, 1300 lm, black
The Fenix HP12R-T is a high-performance headlamp with a practical design that has a separate rear battery compartment. Thanks to two reflectors, it provides a luminous flux of up to 1300 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 200 meters. Reflectors create well-focused light beams that shine both far and near at the same time.
- The main headlight shines with a cool white light (approx. 6500 K), which is ideal for normal good visibility.
- The secondary reflector has a neutral white hue (approx. 4500 K) that penetrates fog, rain and snowfall better, making it great for bad weather.
The main headlight offers four lighting modes (up to 1300 lm) and the second headlight three modes (up to 500 lm). For maximum performance, both headlights can be activated simultaneously in turbo mode (1300 lm) or low mode (70 lm). For safety and special situations, the headlamp is also equipped with a front red light, a red SOS flash and a red light and flasher on the rear battery case. Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, which is conveniently charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp body. The perforated strap with reflective elements is breathable, comfortable and increases your passive safety. Thanks to the balanced design, the headlamp is an ideal choice for trail running, cycling and skiing. It will also serve you well when hiking, climbing, camping, fishing, or even in industrial and professional environments. In short, it is a reliable partner for every situation!
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

The use
There may be an insulating cap inside the battery case on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
Switching on/off and switching modes - the cooler reflector is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the reflector with neutral white light is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5s). The light modes are switched by briefly pressing the button of the illuminating reflector. The light is turned off again by holding the corresponding button for 0.5 s. The spotlights can be turned on simultaneously in turbo mode (1300 lm) or in low mode (70 lm) by pressing the spotlight button that we need to add to the already lit spotlight. When the headlamp is off, it turns on to red light by quickly pressing any button twice, and a short press of any button switches between modes. The rear red light / flasher is turned on by holding down the button on the battery case (approx. 0.5s) and switching between flashing and steady light is done by briefly pressing it.
Lock/unlock - The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold until the headlamp flashes, indicating locking. To unlock, hold both buttons again until the headlamp flashes and turns on.
Memory for the last set power mode - the headlamp has a memory and turns on in the last set power mode of the respective reflector.
Replacing batteries - unscrew the cap on the rear battery compartment and remove/insert the battery in accordance with the polarity markings. Replace the cap and tighten firmly.
Charging - lift off the dust cover on the battery case and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port. Put the dust cap back on after charging is complete. The typical charging time is approximately 3.5 hours with a 5 V/2.5 A USB source for a completely discharged headlamp in the off state. The headlamp can be used while charging, but this will increase the charging time. During the charging process, the indicators light up and flash sequentially. When all indicators are permanently on, charging is complete.
Battery charge status indication - After briefly pressing any button (the headlamp must be turned off), the LED battery charge status indicator on the battery case is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 50-80%, two 40-50%, one 20-40% and one blinking indicates the battery is less than 20% charged. The indication only works flawlessly with original batteries.
Intelligent overheating protection - when using the headlamp at high power modes for a long time, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, the power increases again to the previous level.
Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest output mode of cooler white light. After reaching the lowest power, the headlamp will flash every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. It only works with original batteries.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using original Fenix ARB-L18 series batteries of excellent quality.
- If you will not be using the battery for an extended period of time or if the battery is discharged, remove it from the battery case. Disposable batteries may leak and cause damage to the headlamp.
- To prevent accidental activation during storage or transport, lock the headlamp or remove the battery.
- Always carefully check that you insert the batteries into the headlamp with the correct polarity.
- If the headlamp is flashing, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it could be one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty - charge it.
- The headlamp is locked, unlock it (see instructions for use).
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the headlamp and two years on the battery.
