ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict standards of the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP).- ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.

ORTOVOX uses cotton grown according to the Global Standard for Organic Textiles (GOTS). GOTS is an internationally valid standard, the fulfillment of which requires compliance with the standards for processing and growing cotton in organic agriculture. The strict requirements do not only concern the impact of the entire production chain on the environment, but also ethical principles. According to them, all processors and farmers involved in production must live in certain salary and social conditions.
