Special socks for adverse conditions

Women's socks ORTOVOX FREERIDE LONG SOCKS are ready for challenging ascents, fast descents and warm evenings at the cottage. Thanks to Merino wool with a fiber thickness of 21.5 microns, they are flexible, stable and durable. The sole is knitted with special MERINO TERRY technology, which guarantees even greater comfort and thermal insulation. The system of reinforced soft zones ensures that the socks do not push you and protect your feet from bruises and blisters.

Each zone fulfills its purpose

Functional socks ORTOVOX FREERIDE LONG SOCKS stand out above all for their ergonomic shape and comfortable soft foot. During the process of seamless knitting, special zones are created, each of which fulfills its specific purpose:
  • Toes with flat seams to eliminate blisters.
  • Extremely soft and warm sole made of MERINO TERRY material.
  • Reinforced heel and toe for better comfort and longer life.
  • The sock is ergonomically shaped for the right and left foot separately.
  • Ergonomically shaped ankle, thanks to which the sock does not come off.
  • Comfortable cuff for comfortable dressing.
  • Gentle compression in the calf area.

The highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.
  • ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
  • Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.
These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.
