Combined three-layer GORE-TEX ® Pro 30 D and 40 D
The basis of the QUIVER PANT is a three-layer GORE-TEX ® Pro membrane. Its thickness is 40 D, in the area of the knees and butt for greater resistance, and 30 D in the rest of the pants for better packability and lower weight. When using these pants, a demanding condition is expected, and therefore it is very important that you can really rely on them.
The QUIVER PANT is completely water resistant. It is a GORE-TEX ® For porous type membrane. One such pore is twenty thousand times smaller than a water molecule and therefore only allows water vapor molecules to pass through. So the sweat vapor gets out, but the water drops don't get inside. Thanks to this, the membrane is highly breathable and waterproof at the same time.
Perfect shape of the pants, shaped knees
The fact that the QUIVER PANT pants are designed to real extremes is proven by the length and width of the pants. It is assumed that you will have functional underwear, softshell or thermal pants and these goretex pants on top. The shape of the knees and the elongated cut is adapted to ski boots. So it won't happen that you don't pull your pants over any ski boots. Part of the pants is a removable cover against snow.
You can't really get snow in them
The QUIVER PANT is really tall. They reach slightly above the waist and the fully adjustable straps ensure that the pants stay in one place throughout the climb. The suspenders are attached to the front of the pants at both ends, so you can comfortably go to the toilet without having to undress, just unzip the side zippers and pull down the back of the pants. In combination with the QUIVER JACKET, snow and water don't stand a chance even on the most demanding ski-alpine expeditions.
The most perfect seams
Small details make a big difference. Mountain Equipment hardshell pants are sewn using smooth seams. You won't see any threads on the outside of the pants. Pants sewn in this way will last much longer, because the seam threads do not rub against rocks and other objects on the outside. Thanks to this, the absorption of moisture into the seam threads is also prevented, making the trousers even more resistant to getting wet. In addition, all seams are taped with waterproof tapes.
Even this sophisticated method of production is a guarantee for you that Mountain Equipment will really suffer from the quality and refinement of the products.
