ORTOVOX Westalpen Swisswool jacket, Pacific Green
Functional insulating jacket WESTALPEN SWISSWOOL JACKET with insulation from Swiss wool SWISSWOOL® (90 g/m2 on the body, 60 g/m2 on the sleeves and hood), insulates heat even when wet and has excellent thermoregulatory properties. The outer material, Pertex® Quantum, which is resistant to water and wind, also prevents heat loss. The cut of the jacket with extended back and sleeves is specifically designed for high comfort when climbing.
Pertex® Quantum - resistance to water and wind
The Pertex® Quantum material is a densely woven material from recycled polyamide that does not blow out and is also highly breathable. Thanks to its ripstop weave, it is resistant to abrasion and tearing, even though it is soft and pliable to the touch. It is very light and pleasant to wear.
Thoughtful cut
Ergonomic cut designed for active movement, especially for climbing in the mountains. The jacket has extended sleeves and a torso, so it won't pile up even when climbing difficult mixed routes. The two-way central zipper ensures comfortable securing even if you only change your jacket while staying at the stand.
A higher collar and elastic endings on the sleeves and a drawstring at the waist also contribute to the increase in thermal comfort.
Practical pockets
The ORTOVOX WESTALPEN SWISSWOOL JACKET has two spacious pockets located higher, so that they can be accessed even with the waist belt of the backpack on, and one internal breast pocket for valuables. All zippers come from the YKK® brand.
SWISSWOOL® – the story of renewed Swiss sheep breeding
Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetics. The hair of Swiss sheep is an example of this. Although it is not as soft as Merino, ORTOVOX decided to use its potential for insulating layers and with its idea significantly helped sheep breeding and local farmers.
SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from strips of Swiss wool. These are placed in the individual panels of the jacket, thanks to which they stay in place and do not move. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, because wool absorbs up to 35% of moisture into its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. Moreover, compared to synthetic insulation material, it degrades only negligibly and retains its properties for many years.

Add to that other functional properties, such as wind resistance, DWR treatment, and there is a stylish insulating jacket weighing only 340 g.
