The flexible and windproof material TEC STRETCH is used as the outer material of this lightweight insulated jacket. To ensure maximum protection against wind and cold, insulating inserts made of 60 g/m2 SWISSWOOL are inserted into the front part of the chest and the upper part of the arms. Lightweight MERINO NATURETEC LIGHT inserts in the hood, sleeves and waist ensure breathability and flexibility, yet remain windproof. Tasmanian merino wool on the inside naturally regulates the climate and makes the jacket pleasantly comfortable.

The ORTOVOX SWISSWOOL COL BECCHEI HYBRID JACKET focuses on breathability and wind resistance. Therefore, the MERINO NATURTEC LIGHT softshell from the Swiss company Schoeller® is used. The material has a water-repellent treatment, thanks to which dirt does not stick to it and drops of water run off.

The wool on the inside quickly wicks away sweat and keeps you warm even after the jacket is sweaty. On the chest and shoulders, where protection against the cold is most important, there is a layer of SWISSWOOL insulation, which, thanks to the great properties of wool, keeps you warm even when wet.

Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetics. The hair of Swiss sheep is an example of this. Although it is not as soft as Merino, ORTOVOX decided to use its potential for insulating layers and with its idea significantly helped sheep breeding and local farmers.

SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from strips of Swiss wool. These are placed in the individual panels of the jacket, thanks to which they stay in place and do not move. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, because wool absorbs up to 35% of moisture into its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. Moreover, compared to synthetic insulation material, it degrades only negligibly and retains its properties for many years.
