Northfinder DRIENOV jacket, black/blue
This technical jacket offers the best balance between weather resistance, breathability and mobility. We created it for ski-touring enthusiasts, climbers, but also for cross-country skiers. Based on body-mapping, we used several premium materials and placed them in specific zones. DRIENOV protects you from adverse weather conditions, offers one of the best regulation of body heat on the market and has a maximum range of motion. The flexible and shaped construction with an integrated hood, gussets in the armpits and raglan sleeves increases mobility, which you will appreciate when going downhill, climbing or cross-country skiing. While the hood is adjustable, it has a visor for a better view and is fully compatible with a helmet. Polartec® Alpha® direct synthetic insulation is an active insulation, it is hydrophobic, resists moisture and dries incredibly quickly. And it really doesn't stop heating even when it's wet. That's why Alpha® direct is placed in the front, in the entire hood, in the sleeves and partly on the back. The revolutionary Alpha® direct does not need a lining, which means it can be in direct contact with the skin or other layers of fabric, thus significantly reducing the weight of the garment. For an extra supply of fresh air, we laser cut exactly 16 holes in each armpit. The upper part is made of a flexible and light 2.5-layer Windprocet Shield membrane, which provides a lightweight waterproof barrier with a high degree of breathability. For the rest, we used a super-elastic 3-layer material that boasts incredible vapor permeability, waterproofing and wind protection. The front two-way zipper from YYK® is finished with a simple chin guard. The jacket offers two large zippered pockets with mesh inside for storing belts, glasses or gloves. With its weight of 420 g (M) and high functionality, the DRIENOV is undoubtedly an extraordinary companion for challenging ski climbs in freezing weather.
