The modern down jacket Mountain Equipment BALTORO JACKET with a unique patented construction of offset chambers offers extra thermal comfort with its low weight, which is so necessary for alpinism. Thanks to the "Double Layer Offset Baffle Construction" (offset chambers), the BALTORO JACKET does not have cold seams like classic quilted down jackets.
It is very light and packable in its own pocket, while its thermal insulation is comparable to much heavier down jackets. With the waterproof DRILITE® Loft top material, you can wear the BALTORO JACKET even in bad conditions, with the certainty that the feathers will not get wet immediately and will not lose their thermal insulation properties.

Adjustable bottom hem of the jacket with drawstrings. Separate cord for pulling the front and back parts, so that there is no danger of getting caught in the carabiner. when you attach it to the material eye of the seat harness.
You pack the down jacket in its own inner pocket and fasten it to the seat with a carabiner using two loops.
A fountain pen with a unique construction of offset chambers
The new patented construction of the offset chambers "Double layer offset baffle construction" makes it possible to achieve much better thermal insulation properties than with classic quilted chambers, where the most heat escapes through the cold seams. The basis of this construction is a very light heat-reflecting inner fabric, to which the seams of the individual opposite chambers are sewn to connect to each other.
DRILITE® Loft 20 D - resistant to water and wind
DRILITE® Loft 20 D is a strong and light waterproof surface material with a PU coating. It is highly breathable and resistant to water and wind. It also has a water-repellent DWR treatment on the surface, which further contributes to keeping the feathers dry even in wet conditions. The feathers are thus protected from getting wet, and thus also from losing their heat-insulating properties. Thanks to its water resistance and low weight, the feathers maintain a high loft for maximum thermal insulation in any conditions.

The golden mean when choosing a light down jacket
Compared to classic quilted chambers, the BALTORO JACKET is more wind-resistant, has fewer cold spots, and therefore much better thermal insulation. For a good price/performance ratio, you get a reward in the form of a real portion of warmth and comfort.
Quality duck feathers with 700+ fill
Very high-quality duck feathers originating from China contain at least 90% down, its filling is at least 700 cuin and meets the ethical DOWN CODEX®. The feathers are gently cleaned with water without chemical treatment. This destroys mites and the environment for their life, which will be appreciated by allergy sufferers. Feathers retain their important fatness and loft, are packable well, have high insulation and low weight.
