The Mountain Equipment SWITCH JACKET is a very light middle layer of hybrid construction with excellent thermal insulation POLARTEC® Alpha® on the body and fleece knit Pontetorto® Tecnostretch on the sleeves, shoulders and sides. You can put on the SWITCH JACKET in the morning during cold climbs or put it on during downtime during the ascent. It will also serve great as an insulating layer during frosty descents.
POLARTEC® Alpha® insulating layer (50 g) in the body area. The upper material is lightweight Nylon 20D RS, which is stretchy, breathable and windproof.
Pontetorto® Tecnostretch 187 fleece knit in the arms, shoulders and side panels.
Active Fit – narrow and perfectly fitting cut for active and unrestricted fast movement.
Flat seams for great comfort when worn directly on the body.
Full opening YKK® zipper.
Two insulated side pockets and one chest pocket with zip.

Original POLARTEC® Alpha® military technology
The POLARTEC® Alpha® fabric was originally developed for the US military. This is a new technology with active insulation that can regulate body temperature both when moving and standing. In this version, it also has great breathability, thanks to which you don't have to take off every now and then or add more layers when it's cold. In addition, POLARTEC® Alpha® has excellent thermal insulation properties at minimal weight, is easy to pack, dries quickly and is easy to wash.
Top material PONTETORTO® Tecnostretch
The sleeves, shoulders and sides of the SWITCH JACKET hybrid jacket are made of PONTETORTO® Tecnostretch. On the inside, it has a grid structure that perfectly wicks away sweat and regulates body temperature. At the same time, the channels create air pockets, thanks to which the sweatshirt provides excellent thermal insulation. Thanks to this structure, it is exceptionally light, breathable and elastic.
Put it on and stay warm
As the name itself suggests, the SWITCH JACKET is intended for rapid changes in climatic conditions. You definitely packed it for winter mountaineering or ski touring and ski alpinism. Within a few moments, you will start to feel a pleasant warmth on your body and you will immediately feel better. You don't have to worry even with high physical exertion. Whether it's POLARTEC® Alpha® or Pontetorto® Tecnopile, both technologies have great breathability and dry very quickly.
Two-year guarantee without compromise
Equipment must always be relied upon. So if something is wrong, you have an uncompromising two-year warranty. If you discover a manufacturing defect, send the goods to us and we will hand them over directly to the service center in Munich, which will take care of the rest.
