HIGH ALPINE GLOVE gloves are completely covered with 100% goat leather of various thicknesses for optimal freedom of movement with the O-SHIELD membrane. The membrane keeps your hands dry
Thanks to its special O-SHIELD membrane, these alpine gloves are wind and water resistant, but also particularly robust and resistant to abrasion, as the back of the hand is reinforced with additional padding of 60 g/m2 recycled merino wool. The palms have a double layer of goatskin with covered seams for durability, while additional reinforcements on the index finger and thumb protect against wear and tear when using poles, ropes and ice axes.
Natural technologies
Proven over the years, 100% goat leather does not blow out and is water resistant. These leather membrane gloves are robust and at the same time provide maximum freedom of movement thanks to goat leather of different thicknesses. The highest quality Merino wool
ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.
ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.
These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, thanks to its antibacterial effects, Merino wool neutralizes odors and is very easy to care for.
