STEP UP LINE – balanced climbing shoes

Tenaya ARAI climbing shoes belong to the Step Up Line. They are specially designed for easier and more intuitive foot placement on any type of surface. They are exceptionally comfortable and will allow you to improve your footwork. Their properties will best suit you on vertical or slightly overhanging routes, whether on rock or artificial walls.
  • Rigidity 3.5/5 – medium hard/hard. The higher the number, the harder the climbing shoe. With harder climbing shoes, you can load the footholds with more force.
  • Sensitivity 3.5/5 – medium sensitive/sensitive. The higher the number and thus the greater the sensitivity, the more information you can get about the foothold you are standing on.
  • FWR (foot width) 5/5 – the FWR value expresses how well the climbing shoe can adapt to the foot width. Generally, with higher FWR values, the climbing shoes will fit wider feet better.

You can stand on practically anything

Climbing shoes from the Spanish manufacturer Tenaya, model ARAI, are designed for climbing vertical and slightly overhanging walls, where footholds are often non-existent or difficult to discern. Micro footholds, cracks, slab climbing, or corner climbing. Everywhere here, the "ARAI" are at home. You will also use them perfectly for all-day adventures in the Alps or Tatras.
