The first e-bike-specific helmet from uvex - the uvex city 9 - is a stylish yet simple bike helmet which meets, and exceeds, the new NTA 8776 standard for speed pedelecs.

The first specialized e-bike helmet: the City 9 urban helmet by Uvex

E-biking is booming: more and more bikers are choosing them - especially commuters, who choose them as an alternative to cars and public transport. The higher speeds that can be reached by e-bikes and speed pedelecs change the demands put on protective equipment. To help all e-bike riders travel safely through the urban jungle, uvex has now developed the uvex city 9.

This simple, hybrid shell technology helmet is extremely impact resistant, yet still pleasantly ventilated to wear. Six large ventilation openings at the top of the head can be opened and closed as needed, even when on the move – with just one hand. To increase visibility, it features an integrated plug-in LED light, with three different light modes, which recharges via USB. An adjustable dial at the back enables the helmet to be custom fitted to your head, so it always fits securely.

The main motto of the uvex brand is: "We protect people." This slogan can also be seen in their product range, which mainly consists of protective equipment such as helmets and glasses. In production from the uvex brand (uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded) you will also find equipment for winter, skiing and equestrian sports.
