This NTA certified MTB helmet still offers effective protection thanks to Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS. This unique system, developed by Giro in collaboration with MIPS, works on the principle of a hinge – the helmet consists of two parts (hemispheres) connected by elastomers and hinge relative to each other like a hinge. Thanks to this, the outer layer can rotate around the inner layer in case of impact, thereby reducing the forces that would otherwise act directly on the brain. This structural solution completely replaces the classic plastic MIPS liner used by MIPS helmets without Spherical technology.
And on top of that, there is also Progressive Layering technology, which consists of two different hardnesses of the outer and inner layers. While the outer layer made of EPS foam is harder and thus ready to absorb high-speed impacts, the inner layer made of EPP foam is softer and has rebound properties to absorb low-speed impacts as much as possible.

Variant Giro Coalition Spherical prilba, čierna matná
Hands down the best full face helmet I tried. After trying on POC Otocon, FOX Proframe RS, Bell Super DH, ABUS Airdrop, this helmet fitted my head like glove, the only one coming close was POC Otocon MIPS, but in size L for my body type, was just huge (Think of PAC Man).
Translate by GoogleShow the originalJust had a multi day bike trip, in +25* celsius weather and the ventilation was great. It has great field of view as well.
The only minor downside are the cheek pads, which tend to come sometimes when taking the helmet off. This is due to the fact that they are made to be easily removable by paramedics in case of crash, so I'm good with that.
All in all, I super recommend the helmet.
