Magicshine EVO 1700 front light, 1 700 lm

Bought two of these lights for my bicycles, and what can I say everything is 10/10. Fully satisfied with the product. The optics are great, featuring a cut-off line, high and low beams, and a good mounting system. I absolutely love it. The battery lasts a long time, and riding in the rain is not a problem at all. Another huge plus is the 2-button wireless remote.

The only downside is the app and first connect to remote. It’s a bit laggy, but I still managed to set up my custom profiles: 5 modes (3%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) on the low beam and 2 modes (50% and 100%) on the high beam. That's more than enough for me. Remote didn’t work with one light, from the second time they paired

For comparison, I previously rode with a Vayox VA0151 900Lm for about 2.5 years. These are in completely different leagues—the Magicshine has vastly better optics and battery life. It’s a massive upgrade, though it does come with a premium price tag.

I fully recommend it if you have any doubts. Night riding in the forest is totally doable, the mount handles light off-road trails without issues, and it’s powerful enough to light up mountain roads. Added some photos.

Incredible light. Thanks to the special optics, it seems to shine brighter than regular lights with cone optics. Ideal for traffic, where I really don't blind anyone. The advantage of switching between low and high beam modes with a wireless switch. Also, choosing any modes using the app. Here you can set an even weaker mode than the default and still shine sufficiently and last even longer than the stated max. brightness value. The disadvantage is that then oncoming drivers see you poorly in low beam mode (personal experience).
The main negative I see is the battery status display... the red LED only appears at 20%, which is quite late. The app doesn't even show the remaining battery percentage (until it gets to 20%, it still shows HIGH!).

Absolutely satisfied, today was my first ride and even during the day I saw how the light reflected off the asphalt when flashing - just a detail..otherwise I use knog road, those lights are heavy and that bothered me a lot when manipulating the handlebars where I was trying to reach for the light..next to the evo - brutally fast switching between modes, including turning off the lights..it's a bit annoying that each light has to have its own app and this one isn't even on offer on Android, only via QR code..I also have a rear radar, but the app can't find pairing there...so just download it illegally, there is just the intensity to adjust, otherwise it's almost useless to download it and I would really like to unify the lights into one app - that's the only disadvantage, but I can live with it.

The application is not too good but manageble.
I don't like the remote controls as cannot for the life of me keep them on my bars for an increased amount of time.
Aside from these the light itself is good and has proven to be useful

Výborné svetlo, veľmi silné, mám pocit akoby som jazdil počas dňa. Výhodou sú režimy do blízky a do diaľky a tiež rôzne intenzity.

Svetlo je pekne spracované, držiak s uchytením iného príslušenstva je tiež super, čo ale super nie je, je aplikácia - ten, kto ju navrhoval musel byť extra talent. Pre prepínanie zvolených režimov sa nič neintuitívnejšie a jednoduchšie asi naprogramovať nedalo. Pre prepínanie zo stretávacích na diaľkové svetlo využívam samozrejme ovládač, naprogramovanie z aplikácie je ale ozaj hrozné. Každopádne sa s tým treba popasovať, svetlo svieti veľmi pekne, svetelný lúč je dostatočne silný, teplota farby vyhovujúca.

The maximum brightness is fantastic but it only lasts about 1 hour. The handlebar cockpit holder is missing, I had to buy one. The application is pointless and unnecessary. I evaluate the design and workmanship positively, it looks high quality.

The light arrived completely discharged. Batteries are destroyed when they are fully discharged. What can I add? I already knew that the battery for the remote control also arrived discharged. (Yes, I took the plastic one out of the bottom. Otherwise, the light is definitely good.
