Fenix HP30R V2.0 rechargeable LED headlamp + powerbank
Fenix HP30R V2.0 rechargeable LED headlamp
The second generation of the extremely powerful Fenix HP30R V2.0 headlamp offers an unrivaled output of up to 3000 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of 270 meters. Excellent performance was achieved by using the powerful XHP50 LED and a pair of XP-G3 S4 LEDs with a warmer shade of light. The headlamp is equipped with a remote reflector and a pair of smaller reflectors with a wide cone of light. Both reflectors are controlled separately, but they can also be used simultaneously in combined mode. For power, it uses two Li-ion batteries of type 21700 5000 mAh, which are included in the package and can be charged directly in the battery case via the USB-C connector.The batteries are placed in a separate case on an adjustable cable that can be worn on the back of the neck, placed on a belt, in a pocket or backpack. This increases wearing comfort and in winter the batteries are better protected against frost. The battery case is equipped with a battery capacity indicator and a USB output, so you can also use it as a portable power source ( power bank ) to charge your mobile phone or GPS navigation.
The headlamp offers a total of 11 performance modes. In the lowest mode with 50 lumens, it provides an excellent endurance of up to 120 hours (that is, 5 days). The headlamp is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are gradually discharging). The HP30R V2.0 is especially suitable for cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, night running, cycling, fishing, caving, expeditions and other activities.
The body of the headlamp is made of an aluminum alloy used in the aviation industry. This ensures excellent cooling and resistance to damage.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, operating time on batteries, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Fenix HP30R V2.0 headlamp parameters
- Eleven lighting modes:
- Remote spotlight: 2000 lumens (6 hours) -> 800 lumens (12 hours) -> 200 lumens (34 hours) -> 50 lumens (120 hours)
- Wide reflectors: 1000 lumens (10 hours) -> 200 lumens (34 hours) -> 50 lumens (120 hours)
- Combined mode: 3000 lumens (5 hours) -> 1800 lumens (6 hours) -> 400 lumens (17 hours) -> 100 lumens (60 hours)
Using the Fenix HP30R V2.0 headlamp
From the factory, there may be a white insulating cap inside the battery case on the accumulators. Before first use , remove it from the batteries.Control - the headlamp is controlled by a rotary switch. In its central position, the headlamp is turned off.
- remote reflector - to turn on the remote reflector, turn the switch clockwise, the headlamp switches on to the lowest power mode, and turning it increases the power to the highest mode. Turning back reduces power.
- wide reflectors - when turning the switch counterclockwise, two LEDs for a wide cone of light are turned on, from the smallest to the highest mode, in the opposite direction, the power decreases.
- to activate the combined mode, it is necessary to turn on one of the main modes (remote or wide) and briefly press the button on the side of the switch. The power of the combined mode is then reduced or increased according to the originally selected circuit. The combined mode can be turned off partially by pressing the side button (turns off one of the circuits) or by turning it completely to the center position.
Battery status indication - pressing the button on the battery case activates the battery capacity indicator (four lit LEDs 80-100%, three LEDs 60-80%, two LEDs 40-60%, one LED 20-40%, one flashing LED indicates less than 20% of battery capacity).
Charging - unfold the rubber cover of the USB-C connector on the side of the headlamp and use the included USB-C cable to connect it to a computer, USB network adapter or USB car adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator diodes on the battery case flash, after full charge they light up permanently. Charging fully discharged batteries takes about 4.5 hours.
To activate the USB output (power bank function), connect the device you want to charge and press the button on the battery case. The activation of the USB output is indicated by flashing diodes on the case.
Intelligent protection against overheating - if the temperature of the headlamp rises above 60 °C, it will automatically reduce power until its temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will automatically increase again. Operation at the highest performance modes is thus not limited by time, but only by temperature.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion batteries to avoid damage to the headlamp, for example due to leakage of substances from the battery.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost empty - charge them or replace them.
- Make sure the connector on the cable between the headlamp and the battery case is firmly connected.
- The contacts in the battery holder are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Powerful LED XHP50 and LED XP-G3 S4 with a warmer shade of light with a lifespan of 50,000 hours are used
