Fenix HM65R-DT rechargeable headlamp, 1500 lm, black
Fenix HM65R-DT rechargeable headlamp
The rechargeable Fenix HM65R-DT headlamp is characterized by a light magnesium alloy construction, high resistance to water and falling, a unique design with two reflectors and a total output of up to 1500 lumens. Reflectors create well-focused light beams. One with a colder white light of approx. 6500K (so-called daytime white) and the other with warm white light approx. 3000K. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other, the light from both reflectors can be combined as desired to achieve a luminous flux of up to 1500 lumens (when both reflectors are switched on at the same time, their maximum output 1150 + 350 lumens). Both light sources offer three lighting modes. One 18650 type Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh is used for power supply, which is included in the package and is charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. In case of emergency, the headlamp can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries. Thanks to its lighter weight and construction, the headlamp is especially ideal for trail running. It is also suitable for other sports activities (hiking, climbing, camping, cross-country skiing, fishing...). Guaranteed to serve you well in any situation!
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, operating time on batteries, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
In addition, it is possible to purchase a Fenix APB-20 case, a large Fenix APB-30 case, a USB adapter for the mains and a USB adapter for the car, a USB adapter that supports fast charging and a colorful illuminated USB-C cable. For the headlamp, you can order a spare strap without a tightening wheel in several color variants, or a strap with a SportFit Fenix AFH-05 wheel.
Using the Fenix HM65R-DT headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.The main reflector is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5 s), the reflector with a warm shade of light is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5 s). The headlamp always turns on in the lowest power mode. Light functions are switched by briefly pressing the corresponding button. Both reflectors can be turned on at the same time.
Battery charge status indication - After a short press of any button (headlight must be switched off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one 20-40% and one blinking means the battery is less than 20% charged.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous activation, e.g. when transported in luggage - in the switched off state, press any one or both buttons and hold min. 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash to indicate locking. To unlock, you need to hold both buttons for three seconds.
Protection against overheating - if the headlamp temperature exceeds 65 °C, it will automatically reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 65 °C, it is possible to switch to higher power modes again.
Warning about a discharged battery - when the voltage drops below a certain threshold, it automatically switches to a lower power mode, if the battery status indicator starts flashing during lighting, the battery is almost discharged.
Charging - open the cover of the USB-C connector and plug in the attached charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter into the mains or car (not included in the package). During charging, the status LEDs show the charging progress. After charging is complete, all four light up. During charging, the headlamp can only be used in the low mode of the main or warm reflector.
Using the rotary wheel to adjust the length of the head strap - to tighten the strap, press the wheel and turn it clockwise. To loosen the strap, pull out the wheel and loosen the strap.
In view of the mechanical protection against polarity reversal , the accumulators must have the plus pole exposed. Older Fenix accumulators with a flat plus pole cannot therefore be used.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality Li-ion 18650 batteries, if using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlamp.
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is discharged - charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Main reflector : 1300 lm (4 h) -> 400 lm (12 h) -> 130 lm (24 h)
