The headlamp is also equipped with a runtime extension function. With prolonged use, it gradually reduces the output in small steps to achieve longer lighting times (see runtime graph).
The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling, and is fully waterproof according to IP68 standard. The practicality of the headlamp is increased by the ability to remove the light from the head mount and use it as a small pocket flashlight.
All headlamp parameters (lumen output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Battery Level Indication: After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be off), the LED indicator in the button activates. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is charged to over 80%. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it's red, it's charged to 20-50%. Red flashing indicates less than 20% of the battery capacity remains. The indication works correctly only with rechargeable RCR123A / 16340 batteries.
Charging: Open the rubber cover of the charging port and connect the included cable to the headlamp (USB-C connector), connect the other end of the cable to a computer, power bank, or a USB adapter to a power outlet or car (not included). During charging, the side button glows red, and after full charge, it turns green. After charging, seal the charging port again with the rubber cover. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the light can also be used while charging, but only the lowest white mode and red modes will be available.
Low Battery Warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower output modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest output mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely depleted. Note: The low battery warning is calibrated only for the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Locking the Headlamp Against Accidental Activation: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn; this will interrupt the electrical contact and prevent the headlamp from turning on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. After locking, the light will flash red. To unlock, press and hold the button for 3 seconds again.

Fenix HM50R V2.0 is the second generation of the popular rechargeable headlamp with an output of up to 700 lumens, a beam distance of 115 meters, and red light. For power, you can use either an RCR123A Li-ion battery (included in the package) or a disposable CR123A battery (with a limited max output of 130 lumens). The RCR123A battery can be recharged via the USB-C port directly in the headlamp. The control button on the side of the headlamp also has a built-in indicator LED that shows the battery status when pressed.The headlamp is also equipped with a runtime extension function. Usage
From the factory, there might be a black insulating cap inside the headlamp on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.- With the headlamp off, turn it on to the last used white light mode by pressing the button for 0.5 seconds.
- With the headlamp off, turn it on to red light by double-clicking the button quickly.
- With the headlamp on, turn it off by pressing the button for 0.5 seconds.

Warning
- Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Use only high-quality batteries to avoid damaging the headlamp, for example, due to battery leakage.
- Remove batteries from the headlamp if it will not be used for a long time or if the battery is already discharged. Otherwise, some lower-quality batteries may damage the headlamp.
- If the headlamp is flashing, not switching to higher output modes, or not turning on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost discharged - replace them.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- Electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with an alcohol-soaked cloth.
