GIRO Eclipse Spherical MIPS helmet
The Eclipse Spherical is a unique aero helmet that combines the best of Giro technologies into a compact shape ideal for competitive cycling.Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS. This technology is based on the principle of the joint. The shell consists of two parts (hemispheres) inserted into each other and connected using yellow elastomers. The whole system creates a kind of cushioning that absorbs forces in the event of an impact - the hemispheres can move relative to each other and the elastomers absorb the energy. In addition, the outer shell is made of harder material, the inner one is made of softer material (Progressive Layering technology).

Now the facts. I also tried POC Ventral Air MIPS, POC Octal MIPS, GIRO Aether Spherical, Orbea R10 AERO MIPS, MET Estro MIPS. Giro eclipse is the best, though. It fits perfectly on my head, it doesn't roll around. Since I ride outside all year round, I needed to fit a winter hat and mittens under my helmet for frosty days. All the others were pushing me to the limit with this equipment. My head circumference is 58 cm, I took a helmet size L (59-63 cm).

Teraz fakty. Skusal som si aj POC Ventral Air MIPS, POC Octal MIPS, GIRO Aether Spherical, Orbea R10 AERO MIPS, MET Estro MIPS. Giro eclipse je vsak Top. Perfektne sedi na hlave, nepretaca sa. Nakolko jazdim vonku celorocne, potreboval som pod prilbu zmestit aj zimnu ciapku a mufku, do mrazivych dni. Vsetky ostatne ma s touto vybavou tlacili na spankoch. Obvod hlavy mam 58 cm, prilbu som zobral L (59 – 63 cm).

Head circumference 58cm and I still took L and I did well. The helmet fits me just right even though according to the charts it should be big for me. Therefore I recommend trying it on and not relying only on the charts. Despite the fewer holes, the ventilation is very good.
The fastening on such an expensive helmet could be better. Also, the routing of the straps around the ears is better solved by, for example, POC.
Obvod hlavy 58cm a aj tak som zobral L a dobre som urobil. Prilba mi sedí akurád aj keď podla tabuliek by mi mala byť veľká. Preto odporúčam hlavne vyskúšať a nespoliehať sa len na tabuľky. Aj napriek menej otvorom je vetranie veľmi dobré.

For this price, I would expect better fastening. I got used to magnetic-mechanical buckles on previous helmets and now I miss them. You definitely can't fasten it with one hand.
