ABUS Targon MIPS helmet, ash purple
The ABUS Targon MIPS is a modular full-face helmet for demanding mountain biking, which thanks to its removable chin guard offers maximum freedom on climbs and increased protection on descents. Without the chin guard, it functions as a lightweight, well-ventilated half-shell for tours and long rides; once the chin guard is attached, it transforms into a full-fledged full-face helmet ideal for bike parks and technical trails.
The helmet meets the strict downhill standard ASTM F1952-22, European certification EN 1078, and the CPSC standard for the USA and Canada. The MIPS version uses an internal low-friction liner that helps reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall. The Targon MIPS is manufactured in ABUS's Italian factory as part of the "Made in Italy" series, guaranteeing high-quality workmanship and a durable construction made of polycarbonate, EPS, and injected carbon.
