Giro Source MIPS helmet Mat Metallic Black/Lime
The Source MIPS helmet combines technological sophistication and above-average safety with the design of a modern trail helmet. Aggressive ventilation through a total of 17 openings supported by internal ducts can keep the head at the right operating temperature even in the middle of summer. The Roc Loc 5 clamping system, in which the MIPS insert is integrated, ensures a comfortable fit on the head. The label is adjustable, secured with screws. Resistance to everyday scars is guaranteed by polycarbonate, which covers the shell from below. Extended neck protection is a matter of course.

MIPS IS MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much impact energy as possible and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The aim of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall. When impacted at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only in the millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angle impact (for example, when you catch a branch with your head), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters along the MIPS layer, thus protecting the head and brain from sharp rotational jerks.

Excellent, I like her. I chose according to the size chart and it fits great. The only thing that bothers me a little is that it doesn't have a mesh in the front, so flies fly in and then my head itches.
Vyborna, mam ju rad. Vybral som podla velkostnej tabulky a sedi super. Jedina vec co ma trochu trapi je, ze nema spredu sietku, takze mi vletuju musky a potom ma svrbi hlava.
