A month ago I broke the glass on my Garmin Edge 540 which I had been riding with for about 2 years. When I was looking for a replacement I discovered the Coros DURA. I've only had it for a week but compared to the Garmin it's a clear winner:
- fantastic battery life
- solar charging
- excellent display
- it is controlled with two buttons (!!!) and also via the touch display - Garmin has 7 of them - in other words seven (!)
- high-quality steering wheel holder in the package
- I finally understood what "intuitive control" means - Garmin will probably never understand it again
- the range of displayable data is absolutely comparable to Garmin - everything is there - sensors, HRM, Varia, Di2, wattmeter ..., there is even "ClimbPro", live Strava segments, ... there are no live graphs from the Wattmeter and HR like Garmin has, but I can handle that ?
- the mobile app is easily comparable to Garmin's "Connect"
- the price is unbelievable, because the comparable Garmin Edge 840 solar (with lower battery life) costs 300E more ... and the "incomparable" Edge 540 50E more

This is a really good watch. I've been following it since its introduction, where the first reviews were embarrassing, but the updates fixed that. I bought it mainly because I also have a Coros running watch.
It is well controlled, the accessories like the varia, speed, powermeter work fine (only at start it takes longer to load than the gps). The navigation is surprisingly good too and since it uses google maps it seems to me that it chooses the route better in case of deviation than the garmin (I compare it with the edge520 and 530). It has the climb pro alternative, a touch screen and it is Coros - so we can look forward to a lot of updates and new functions in the coming years.
Data fields can be set to your liking and conveniently via iPhone. Synchronization of vibrations anywhere within range of the iPhone, as it just sleeps during inactivity (no need to turn it on)
