Formthotics CYCLE Dual insoles
Unique, thermoplastic, orthopedic insoles that your trained retailer will custom-fit for you, or you can shape them yourself. Formthotics Cycle Dual uses the same low-volume, specific shape as Cycle Single, but with an extra cushioning layer of softer Formax foam on top for maximum shock absorption and control.Ideal insoles for road, triathlon, and MTB cycling shoes.
Home custom fitting process
• Remove the original (stock) insoles from the shoes
• Trim the Formthotics around the toes in the front part according to the original insoles with a margin of about 2 mm
• Place the Formthotics into the shoes; we can trim them further if needed (but only the front part). They should fit precisely in the shoe; the heel must be seated horizontally, i.e., both edges at the same height.
• Test the shoes by walking for a short time. You should feel pressure – mainly on the front, inner part of the heel (the beginning of the longitudinal arch).
• The insoles will perfectly adapt to your foot with frequent use. This, of course, takes longer than heating the insoles with a machine. In case of difficulties, contact us.
In-store fitting by a trained retailer
Before installation, we consult on selecting the correct insole model based on the customer's foot, shoes, and activity. Subsequently, the thermoplastic insole is dimensionally adjusted, fitted into the shoe, and heated using special Formthotics equipment to achieve the ideal insole temperature at which it adapts to the foot.
