FOX GRIP X damper cartridge (2027)
The complete original FOX GRIP X cartridge for the 2027 model year is a top-tier upgrade and replacement part for FOX all-mountain and enduro forks. The sealed damping system is supplied fully assembled, filled, and bled, making it ready for direct installation into the right fork leg without further assembly.
Three-way independent damping adjustment – Low-Speed Rebound (LSR), High-Speed Compression (HSC), and Low-Speed Compression (LSC) – allows for precise tuning of the fork's behavior, from big impacts to technical, root-filled sections. The integrated Firm Mode in the extreme position of the HSC adjuster firmly locks the fork for efficient climbs, while a safety blow-off valve instantly opens it upon an unexpected hard impact, protecting the rider and the bike's construction. The cartridge utilizes high-quality aluminum alloy and sealing components for high stiffness, reliability, and stable damping performance even on long descents.
When replacing the cartridge, it is recommended to use new original FOX lower leg oil according to the specific fork's lubrication chart and to replace the crush washers on the lower legs. Before purchasing, it is essential to verify compatibility using the 4-digit ID code on the back of the lower legs, as the cartridge is designed for a specific inner leg diameter and travel. Installation requires advanced mechanical skills, special cartridge/top cap tools, and adherence to correct tightening torques.
