The new FOX airshafts with GlideCore™ technology for the 2026 model year bring several significant improvements over previous generations: 1. Lower friction – the smoother GlideCore™ suspension utilizes a new sealing system and surface treatment that significantly reduce internal friction. The result: a more sensitive response to small bumps and more consistent performance throughout the ride. 2. Better mid-stroke support Improved air dynamics offer a more stable mid-stroke feel („mid-stroke support“), which improves control during aggressive riding and cornering. 3. Smoother end-stroke transition (ramp-up) The new air chamber architecture ensures better progression dosing, making bottom-out impacts smoother and easier to predict. 4. Increased thermal stability Thanks to optimized airflow, the increase in pressure due to temperature during longer rides is reduced – the result is consistent performance even under repeated stress (e.g., downhill, enduro races).
