The Cannondale CAAD 12 105 road bike is built on a light frame made of 6069 duralumin alloy. It is made with SmartForm C1 Premium technology, which is one of the most advanced and complex in the field of duralumin processing. By combining the removal of excess material, optimization of the shape of the tubes, hydroforming, tapering, mechanical forming and forging, the incredible lightness and rigidity of the frame is achieved. SmartForming technology then works precisely with the thickness of the pipes and their shape. This means that the material is concentrated exactly where it is needed and at the same time every excess gram of construction is removed. This maximizes the strength and rigidity of the frame. Elimination of the sudden change in material thickness, which could cause the material to be overloaded, is achieved through internal weakening of the tubes and smooth conical transitions. The elements of the SPEED SAVE technology eliminate small vibrations, increase riding comfort and at the same time help the bicycle to go faster. All this with an emphasis on low weight and torsional rigidity. The Cannondale CAAD 12 accelerates so well and significantly improves cornering speed without negatively affecting power transmission. The carbon fork, which is also able to dampen small vibrations, contributes to increased comfort. The Cannondale CAAD 12 105 road bike is equipped with high-quality Shimano 105 components with 2x11 speeds, which excel not only in longevity, but also in shifting accuracy. The Cannodale Si cranks, which are lightweight, forged in one piece, have an interchangeable transducer carrier system and are fully compatible with BB30 and BB30 centers, contribute to efficient power transmission. A pair of Shimano 105 brakes with a pair of symmetrically placed pins will provide you with downhill safety for greater efficiency and better braking force. Fast acceleration will be supported by light and reliable wheels with long life Mavic Aksium, which are entangled in steel aeronautical beams with light Alu hubs with quality industrial bearings. You can also rely on Mavic Yksion Elite 700x25c tires, which excel in universal use. All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.
- The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
- The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
- The bicycle is carefully packaged back into a box and shipped
- If you order a bike for in-person pick-up or home delivery, the bike will be waiting for you assembled and checked
- If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
- Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
- Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
- Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
- Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
- Mount seat post to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
- Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
- Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
