A practical helper when replacing rim brake cables and adjusting the position of brake pads. Some mechanics also use these pliers when adjusting derailleurs. Sometimes they are called a third hand because they allow locking a pre-tensioned cable in any position and at the same time locking the brake pads. This frees up one hand. Made of heat-treated and chrome-plated steel, padded handles.
