Shorts with straps that combine warmth, elasticity and comfort. This could be called a "convergence" product. A few years ago, we pioneered the first Omloop Thermal shorts, inspired by professional riders cutting their knee warmers at the knee bend during cold, sunny races at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. We decided to create such shorts and, along the way, found that they could be made without a leg gripper – and that an extra 10 centimeters of fabric actually added significant warmth. Those first Omloop shorts were designed for cool, dry conditions, just like the race that inspired them.Fast forward to 2026: We apply the same approach to the Espresso Thermal shorts. Made from the same warm, soft Thermoflex fabric as the Espresso 2 Thermal tight, these new thermal shorts combine warmth, stretch and comfort in a performance-oriented design. It's the perfect transitional product – everything you loved about the Omloop Thermal short, now evolved for modern riders and longer rides.
