The Go Jacket is Castelli's most versatile jacket. It can be used as a light shell in mild conditions or go to cold conditions by adding insulating layers underneath. Castelli used lightest GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® three-layer stretch fabric, which makes it great for milder conditions, and the stretch gives it a great fit. It's the same outer fabric as they use for Alpha RoS 2 Jacket, called "The benchmark in how the best winter jackets should perform" by Cyclingnews.com, but the Go Jacket forgoes the Alpha's integrated liner so you can decide how much insulation you need.
Add a Flanders Warm base layer and thermal jersey to extend the comfort range to subfreezing temperatures. But the fabric is only the start. Tailored fit to be close to body but not too close. It gives a good drape to the jacket, rounded out by details like the no-sew finishing to the hem and the zippered colored chest pocket. The hidden internal cuffs are a nice comfort touch, and you'll appreciate how they eliminate drafts from the wrist.
There are three pockets on the back, with a large reflective strip stretching across the entire bottom of the pockets for nighttime visibility. It's similar in warmth to the Perfetto RoS Long Sleeve, but it has a more tailored and elegant look, with a slightly more relaxed fit, and it's not quite as protective in wet weather.

I am very satisfied. Tried both on bike rides (approx. 6C) and on cross-country trails (approx. -2C). Only Castelli FLANDERS WARM under it and it worked exactly as it should, so I wasn't cold and I wasn't winded at all when going downhill. I didn't feel any movement discomfort when I was working. I think that this jacket is suitable for a variety of sports due to its cut, so I agree with Imro on this. I will probably also take her to the ski slopes. But yes, the view on it can be different, because someone may already be used to the specific cut of a cyclo-jacket, I just like this quasi-freer cut.
I'm not a very cyclo-Italian ready-made person (and I think there are enough of those), so normally we need Castelli and Sportful XXL things (186 cm, 85 kg), but this jacket is finally not too big for us, so the XL fit me perfectly here .
Ja som velmi spokojny. Vyskusana aj na vyjazde na biku (cca 6C) aj na bezkach (cca -2C). Pod nou len Castelli FLANDERS WARM a fungovala presne ako bolo treba, teda nebola mi zima a pri zjazdovani ma vobec neprefuklo. Pri bezkovani som nepocitoval ziaden diskonfort pohybu. Myslim, ze tato bunda je prave kvoli svojmu strihu vhodna na nejaky presah sportov, cize v tomto suhlasim s Imrom. Ja ju zoberiem asi aj na skialp. Ale ano, pohlad na to moze rozny, lebo niekto uz je mozno zvyknuty na specificky strih cyklo-bund, mne vyhovuje prave tento kvazi volnejsi strih.
