Precise ergonomics
- When riding a bicycle, the power of the legs is transmitted directly through the pedals with each revolution. Pedal placement plays a critical role in power transfer efficiency. The sole of the foot must be positioned exactly above the axis of the pedal. In addition, when looking directly in front of or behind the rider, the position of the pedal should form a line from the axis of the pedal through the knee to the hip joint.
Three main directions
- The TP1 makes it easy to specifically orient your pedals with three basic settings. The first of these is the longitudinal orientation setting, the next is the Q-factor and finally (with the exception of Speeedplay pedals) the angle of the foot. All steps are explained in detail in the enclosed instructions and form the main guide to ergonomic positioning.
