Cannondale F-Si Hi-Mod and Lefty Ocho Carbon Heritage Blue set
World-class racing hardtail with F-SI Hi-Mod Ballistec Carbon carbon frame and Lefy Ocho fork in a unique Heritage design.
FRAME
The F-SI Hi-Mod Ballistec Carbon carbon frame is made of light and at the same time very strong Hi-Modulus carbon fibers, which allow you to fine-tune the overall riding characteristics of the bicycle to the smallest detail. Compared to its predecessor, it is as much as 80 grams lighter and with a total weight of 900 grams, it is the lightest frame that Cannondale has ever made. Extreme rigidity while maintaining only very low weight and maximum driving comfort, that's what this is all about!
The key point of the whole frame is the rear structure with the so-called asymmetrical drive integration. Thanks to the shift of the propulsion system by six millimeters to the right, the rear structure was significantly shortened, and thus a significant improvement in the controllability of the bicycle in the field and outside it. At the same time, this solution made it possible to maintain sufficient throughput for the use of wide tires and sets with two transducers. The shift of the drive made it possible to create a more even rear string for even more rigidity when sprinting even in corners.
Sufficient comfort is guaranteed by the sophisticated Save Micro Suspension system, which uses directionally optimized knitting of carbon fibers and allows controlled movement of the seat tube of the frame. The seat tube and with it the entire rear frame triangle work in the vertical direction and thus effectively dampen vibrations and other small shocks. The result is not only better traction and higher speed, but above all a noticeable reduction in rider fatigue even on really long tracks.
A new feature is the fixed Speed Release axle for faster and easier rear wheel replacement. The special shape of the heels allows you to leave the axle in the hub and remove the wheel as easily as in the case of the classic quick release. The Speed Release axis is compatible with 148x12 millimeter rounds.
FORK
The frame is complemented by the all-new Cannondale Lefty Ocho Carbon front fork, which excels in its rigidity, low weight and precise driving performance in all circumstances. All this while maintaining uncompromising steering precision, which is unparalleled in the crosscountry fork category. With a stroke of 100 mm and the possibility of remote locking, it will be great not only on racing circuits, but also on your favorite trails or anywhere else. The significant overhang of the fork axis, together with the more placed head angle, creates the so-called OutFront geometry, which provides sufficient stability on the descents and which does not lose any of its famous agility on the slopes.
GEOMETRY
The geometry of the new F-SI is defined by a very short rear structure, a significantly projecting axis of the front fork and, last but not least, a more inclined head angle. Such a geometry will provide enough stability even in the most demanding descents, it will surprise you in all respects with perfect traction, and at the same time "it will not lack the playfulness and agility" that conjures a smile on the lips in the terrain. Extended reach and stack values contribute to greater comfort behind the handlebars.
