FOX Alloy shock mounting kit, 8 mm
The original Fox aluminum alloy mounting kit is designed to securely and precisely mount the Fox rear shock to the bicycle frame. The three-piece design minimizes friction and eliminates unwanted play in the shock absorber eye, contributing to higher rear end stiffness and longer sleeve life. The kit is sized for use with an 8mm diameter stud and is designed to ensure accurate centering of the shock to the frame.
During assembly, it is recommended to lightly lubricate the contact surfaces with a suitable plastic grease and check the condition of the sliding bushing in the shock absorber eye. If there is persistent play in the mounting, the worn bushing must be replaced and when tightening the bolts, always follow the torques specified by the bicycle manufacturer.
