The Performance Series Float DPS is a lightweight air shock suitable for XC and Trail bikes. It features a lightweight chassis, EVOL air spring and a dual-piston shock absorber. The shock absorber offers you 3 stiffness settings (open, medium and firm) that can be switched on the fly. This allows you to make quick adjustments to suit the terrain you're riding on and keep things efficient on the climbs so you'll be fresher on the descents.- The Performance series has fewer adjustments than the Factory model and does not have the extra tuning range in Open mode. It also has a black anodized air cuff and support instead of the Kashima coating.
- Who it's for: The DPS shock is best suited for Cross Country and Trail bikes and balanced riding that places equal emphasis on climbing as well as descending.
- Spring Type: This shock utilizes an EVOL air spring, which uses more negative air volume to create a linear spring curve that adds plushness on top, extra support in the midstroke, and a more tunable bottom end.
- Compression Damper Adjustment: The shock offers a 3-position lever that allows you to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm modes to suit trail conditions. Open mode is best for descending, Medium for undulating trails, and Firm is for long, drawn-out climbs on paved surfaces and fire trails, or when you feel like standing up and pedaling.
- Rebound Damper Adjustment: The rebound circuit allows for low speed rebound adjustment.
- Volume Adjustment: The DPS shock allows for tuning of mid-stroke support and bottom-out resistance by installing air volume spacers.
