Fox Float PCB's high-performance shock absorbers have been thoroughly redesigned for even better performance. PCB stands for Dual Piston System, the damper consists of two pistons and should offer hard locking, make no compromises in damping behavior and be more precisely adjustable than its predecessor. It can therefore be optimally adapted to as many different areas of application as possible.
In the previous model, the design of the valve has already been changed, which allows for better rebound and compression flow. In addition, the low-friction Kashima coating reduces tear-off torque.
The damper has an enlarged air chamber "LV", which leads to a more linear suspension characteristic.
Dual Piston System (PCB)
This system has three travel settings (open, medium, closed). This means that the rider can adapt the damper to the terrain at any time. The new double-piston design offers complete locking, better steering and unsurpassed efficiency. Thus, the way the damper works in the blocking mode differs significantly from the way in the open and medium modes. In open mode, the damper can be adjusted in 3 stages to suit the respective driving style.
EVOL
An air chamber called EVOL with an increased volume for the negative air chamber. EVOL means "Extra Volume". This setting should also have a positive effect on the quality of the suspension by reducing the breakaway torque. This leads to better traction and a softer response. At the same time, it is possible to raise the characteristic curve a little in the middle range of the spring path, which is thus more linear. The rear part with Fox Float shock absorber should be much more powerful.
Metric installation dimensions
By introducing metric installation dimensions, damper manufacturers want to standardize standards. There should not be so many different variants in the future. In addition, a similar linear gradation of different length and stroke dimensions is sought, as is already the case with sprung forks. By the way, these dampers offer more space inside, because the spacing of the holes was usually slightly increased at the same stroke length. This allows you to optimize function and reliability.
