Hello, I would like to ask for advice on choosing a chain.
On my older MTB bike, I had a Shimano cassette and chain (old 3 x 8 gear type) and a Sram PC 850 chain installed in the service as part of the GO drive. The bike is not heavily loaded, I regularly check the chain for stretching and lubricate it. I have never had a problem with riding or shifting. Despite the fact that this type of drive is already very outdated, the bike shifted completely smoothly and accurately. Today, I unexpectedly tore the chain when pedaling a little too hard - see photo.
I would like to replace it with a better quality one from Shimano, e.g. this HG71. In these questions, one person complained that his drive with a Shimano chain could not be adjusted properly. In the answers, you stated that the Sram chain is narrower (7.1 mm) and the Shimano chain is wider - 7.3 mm. Is the Shimano chain a little more robust when it is wider? Or are only the pins wider and the chain links the same thickness, or rather thin. What chain do you recommend? Thank you

standardne pevnost v tahu je pri retaziach podobna - z Vasej fotky to vyzera bud na zle znitovanie, alebo zial na nestastnu vyrobnu chybu v danom clanku.

Na 8sp.Predali mi HG 40 co ma 7.3mm, no nedása to vyladiť. Pôvodná mala tiež 7.1 a 7.3 len ošúcha kazetu.

Oproti retazi KMC uplne ina liga. Kupoval som ju druhy krat. Na moj ebike ju musim nadpajat na az 133 člankov. Prehadzoval som ju az po 2000 km a stale by este par sto km vydrzala. Na to ze chodim prevazne do kopca a dost ju zatazujem ma vybornu zivotnost. Nizsia rada shimano vydrzala len nieco cez 1000km. Treba sa onu samozrejme starat aby vam tolko vydrzala. Casto cistit v pracke a mazat. Ja pouzivam molybdenovy vosk.

Shimano klasika. Mám s touto reťazou len dobré skúsenosti. Kombinujem so sadou Deore LX a nakoľko už je problém zohnať HG91 využívam i na XT. Samozrejme nie je to reťaz na večnosť ale na starších sadách radí tak ako má.
