microSHIFT ADVENT X CS-H104 10-speed cassette, 11-48T

I installed it recently and so far it shifts smoothly. I am satisfied with the price-performance ratio. Recommended to buy.

When I was buying a dirt bike years ago, I was going from a 26" 3x9 DEORE to a 29" 2x10 XT. I suddenly missed the original gears for hills. I looked through the discussions, I didn't want to go for a 1x11 single plate, I wanted a 2x10 but with a bigger range.
This cartridge was reasonably priced with good and smooth range (I compared 11-46 vs 11-48 cartridges.)
And it was on sale, so I tried it.

But the problem was in the derailleur, the XT does not have such a range. Based on the discussions, I had to play with the other elements, but in the end it was fine-tuned. The derailleur remained original + the derailleur remained original Deore XT + additional hook extension (XLC CR-A28 here from MTBIKER) + replacement of the stop B screw with a longer one (ordinary screw from OBI) + my chain is 114 links long.

This is how it works for me. Maybe it can be done without hook extension, maybe it needs to be fine-tuned differently, but this is how I tested it.
The first lasted the whole season 2023 to 3/2024, approx. 3000 km of asphalt, Malé Karpaty. She lasted two chains.
The second purchased the same 3/2024, replaced with a new chain for the new season. The most commonly used different 3 gears worn out, the new chain was skipping on them (even after a long time and km), maybe it would fit, but the cassette was on sale again, for that price I did not hesitate to replace it. More than 2000 km so far this year.

Properties:
- weight, I weighed 660 gr vs 391 gr original
- not every derailleur and derailleur allows such a large range, you have to play with it
+ better grading 11-46 vs 11-48
- it won't help on all the hills, if you don't have any fitness it won't help
(e.g. I still haven't climbed Konské Hlávy from Pezinská Baba, I don't have fitness, raincoats, experience, but that's not my goal either)
+ will help in long climbs when I can no longer control
+ will help with sharp short stances
- at the cost of losing speed, you twist and twist but slowly you step on what you need
+ on the classic DT nut for SHIMANO cassettes
- it's not an all-powerful miracle, it helps where it can
+ sale price around €30, for me it is consumables

Conclusion:
It will help, I usually use the 2nd and 3rd large range for hills, the largest 48z, but I can use it on steep hills or when I know I have a longer trip ahead of me and I'm going for comfort, rather for frequency than power.

Ťažkotonážna, trochu hrubšie spracovaná kazeta, ale plne funkčná a na prvý pohľad asi nezničiteľná. Po jadrovej vojne ostanú len krysy, šváby...kazeta CS-H104. Namontoval som na budget bike - Starý trek Skye SL z roku 2011 v kombinácii s prehadzovačkou Shimano RD-M5120-SGS a reťazou SRAM PC1051. Zostava funguje výborne, bolo treba trošku pohnúť B-skrutkou.

I changed to SHIMANO Alivio SL-M3100 shifting at the same time as the derailleur, cassette and chain mainly because of the cassette - a larger range. Microshift shifting is incomparably quieter, more precise. At first, it was unusual for me to shift up and down with just my thumb. I use it on an electric trekking bike, after 300 km I am completely satisfied.

Prehodil som miesto Sunrace 11-46, radenie Deore SL-M6000 + prehadzovačka Deore RD-M6000 SGS zostali pôvodne, len jemne doštelovanie B skrutky a šlape v pohode...jednoprevodnik 30 zubov.

Better gradation than the shimano 11-46 cassette, the deore 5120 derailleur with nou works without problems, it wasn't even necessary to adjust the B screw... the bike has a single transmission...

Po 24.rokoch som vyskusal inu znacku ako Shimano- radi to pekne funguje to pekne cely komples.jednoduche nadstavenie.kdo ma rad zmenu,treba skusit.(porovnatelne Slx).

Kazeta s prehadzovačkou microSHIFT pracuje super! Zvládam na nej bez problémov aj strmšie kopce (Karpaty).

Kazeta a prehadzovac spolupracujú v pohode začiatky zladenie boli trocha ťažšie ale teraz super.

Nově instalované již na druhém kole a doufám že bude nadále dobře fungovat jako na tom prvním

Spokojnosť, oproti Deore 11-46 ma táto kazeta plynulejšie odstupňovanie na ľahkých prevodoch.

Excellent cartridge, together with sram X5 and KMC chain it is for universal AM bike. I will buy again.

zatiaľ 7000 km stále v dobrom stave ani najmenšie pastorky nepreskakujú

Nagyon jól működik, ennyi pénzért nem nagyon lehet jobbat találni.

Nahodené na ebike,splnil účel, zatiaľ všetko ok, dúfam že vydrží

I don't have it installed yet, but the visor is great.
