Road bike, SmartForm C1 Premium aluminum frame, Shimano Ultegra, Mavic Aksium wheels, rim brakes, carbon fork.

The Cannondale CAAD 12 Ultegra road bike is built on a lightweight 6069 duralumin alloy frame. Several technologies and patents that characterize the Cannodale brand are used in the construction of the frame.
One of them is SPEED SAVE, which works primarily through the balance between the rear frame triangle and the fork. The main idea is that the tubes on the rear frame triangle are able to bend vertically and thus absorb shocks.
Cannondale CAAD 12 Ultegra has a carbon front fork that has advanced dropouts and a specific carbon weave. Together with SPEED SAVE , a micro-suspension system is created, which allows the wheels to better cross rough surfaces, either when riding in a sitting position or in the saddle. The second part of the system focuses on rider comfort. The seat tube has a directionally optimized weave of carbon layers that allows it to flex slightly forwards and backwards. Here , vibrations and shocks are then dissipated, reducing muscle micro-traumas that reduce energy during long days in the saddle. Not only the construction of the frame is interesting, but also the processing of the material from which the frame is made. This technology is called SmartForm C1 Premium and it is a complex and advanced processing of duralumin. By combining the removal of excess material, optimizing the shape of the tubes, hydroforming, tapering, mechanical forming and forging, an incredible lightness and rigidity of the frame is achieved. In the Cannondale CAAD 12 Ultegra bicycle frame, attention is paid to every detail, including precise work with the thickness of the tubes and their shape. The material is concentrated exactly where it is needed and at the same time every extra gram of the structure is removed. This maximizes the strength and rigidity of the frame. The Cannondale CAAD12 Ultegra road bike is equipped with high-quality Shimano components with 2x11 speeds. Shimano components stand out not only for their long service life, but also for shifting accuracy, low weight and perfect workshop processing.
A pair of Shimano R8000 rim brakes with a symmetrical two-axis design and double bearings will give you confidence on the descents, which reduce friction and improve the efficiency and control of these road brakes. Cannondale HollowGram Si cranks made with patented 3D technology ensure efficient power transmission. The derailleurs are mounted on a forged duralumin carrier and bring such stiffness and weight that they surpass Shimano Dura-Ace, but at the price of Ultegra. Fast acceleration will be supported by light and reliable long-lasting Mavic Aksium wheels, which are entwined on steel aero spokes with light aluminum hubs with high-quality industrial bearings. You can also rely on Mavic Yksion Elite 700x25c tyres, which excel in universal use. The Cannondale CAAD12 Ultegra road bike will satisfy riders with racing ambitions who are looking for a bike with a frame that is lighter, stiffer, yet more comfortable than most carbon frames, and equipped with quality components.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:
  1. The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
  2. The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
  3. The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
  4. If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
  5. If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
    1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
    2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
    3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
    4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
    5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
    6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
    7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
    8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
    9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.

Cannondale, an American brand established in 1971, is characteristic of its innovative approach and modern design. They are not afraid of unconventional solutions that are moving the evolution forward. Many of you probably remember their HeadShok forks with suspension in the crown of a set. Since the 2000s, it is the "simple" fork Lefty characteristic with its firmness, weight and smooth course. Another groundbreaking invention were aluminium models labelled CAAD, which have a place in their offer even today. Cannondale has a wide selection of components and assortment to equip you for your ride.
